Oba Ogunsanwo Releases Statement On Passing of His Father

The Crown Prince of the Telade Ruling House passed away on January 21 at the age of 86.

In what has been a sombre weekend, in the Ilara Kingdom, Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State, South-West, Nigeria.

The King has paid tribute to his father, Crown Prince Thompson Ogunsanwo, in a statement via Alara’s palace.

“It pleases the Lord Almighty that at this appointed season, we announce the passing of our patriarch, father, grandfather and the beloved father of our reigning monarch, the Alara of Ilara Kingdom, Epe Division, Lagos State,” the statement reads.

It continues: “A Crown Prince of the Telade Ruling House; Baba Oba Thompson Olawale Ogunsanwo, transcend to a greater calling on Saturday, 21st January, 2023 after a sojourn of 86 years on earth.”

Until his demise after a brief illness, Baba Oba, was a desirable role model; mentor and loving father to many of his children and wards across the globe.

He will be sorely missed by the members of his community, friends and families. Funeral arrangement is expected to be communicated by the family, soon.

Baba Oba Ogunsanwo, is survived by children and grandchildren among whom is the Alara of Ilara, His Imperial Majesty Oba Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo (Telade IV).

However, while reacting to the unfortunate incident, the last born of the deceased Honourable (Princess) Adeoluwa Ogunsanwo, an accountant, noted that no words I write can never say how much I miss you.

Ogunsanwo, who is also the Supervisory Councillor for Health, Eredo LCDA, stated that as times goes by, reality of your demise sets in. How I miss you dad, nobody knows! I think of you in silence in the last 72 hours. All I have left now is memories of the time we shared.
