Easter Celebration: Christians Should Show Love, Kindness, Says Adeyinka Shonekan

Christians in Nigeria have been urged to show love and kindness to everyone irrespective of tribe, tradition or religion.

This call was made by the Provost’s Warden of the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos, Adeyinka Shonekan during the Easter Sunday service in the church in Lagos.

According to him, “Easter shows value of peace, love and kindness, that’s the essence of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, we should also strive to be peace loving and be kind to each other.

“We cannot live in harmony if there’s no love.”

Adding his voice to this is a member of the Peoples Warden, Dapo Opeaye, who described the last days of the Lenten period as agony, and pains, which he said Jesus passed through.

He stated that with His resurrection on Easter Sunday, which he said is the significance of Easter, there is hope for a better Nigeria.

“On that note, I will like to encourage everyone of us, men, women, girls and boys in Nigeria to imbibe that spirit of oneness to make Nigeria great,” he said, and prayed that Nigeria will be great again.
