Founder of The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet T.B Joshua has been described as a legend even in death, who touched many lives while on earth.
Well wishers and guests at the 60th posthumous birthday, which was organised for Prophet T.B Joshua at SCOAN in Ikotun area of Lagos on Monday, June 12, 2023, recalled activities of the celebrated cleric in his lifetime, saying that his likes come once in a generation.
In his message at the event, Prophet Joshua Iginla, founder of Champions Royal Assembly, said that T.B Joshua was a gift from God, and thanked God that his generation was able to benefit from the late cleric.
Iginla added that T.B Joshua took the bullet for others that came behind him, saying that the way he comported himself was worthy of emulation.
“T.B Joshua was hated, yet he gave people love. He endured persecution. His prophetic ministry was very strong. Many people did not understand him. He was a gift that came from heaven,” he said.
Also commenting, Apostle Peace Ihabore said that the late T.B Joshua was a man of love, peace and patience, adding that they all looked up to him in his days.
Ihabore stated that they saw the way the late T.B Joshua demonstrated love, revealing that he came across the late preacher in 2007.
“He developed me spiritually through Emmanuel Television. He gave to the less-privileged, he was a man of focus, his focus was not broken and he lived what he preached,” he said.
Bishop Stephen Ogedengbe, who also spoke at the event, said that the controversy against the late T.B Joshua that he did not have a spiritual godfather as mentor, has been put to rest in the book of Jeremiah Chapter 1 that said that prophets are anointed by God.
Ogedengbe thanked those who he said hated Prophet T.B Joshua so much, but noted that they are not comparable to those, who love him so much.
“Those who love him so much do so passionately, they can die for the cause. He had no classmate in charity.
“We believe that he is now standing as an angel of God. Miracles have been happening in the church through Prophet Evelyn T.B Joshua since the death of Prophet T.B Joshua,” he said.
Another speaker at the event, Prophet I.O Samuel said that Prophet T.B Joshua is a man they could not stop talking about.
Prophet Samuel thanked God for Prophet Evelyn T.B Joshua for stepping into the shoes of her late husband.
He said that the late Joshua was so humble that he had time for the less privileged and yet mentored several presidents, apostles, bishops and others, adding that he was as prayerful as the Biblical Daniel.
Pastor Daniel Sewale from Zambia recalled that he visited SCOAN to pray on the altar some years ago, when he didn’t even know how to pray.
“I just prayed to be a better father and husband and the second day the man of God said that someone was here and that the person doubted himself. I came out, he then touched me and my life changed. I am one of his fruits. I wish him a happy birthday,” he said.
Pastor Donald from Botswana, in his speech, thanked God for Mrs Evelyn T.B Joshua, and recalled that the late T.B Joshua was in Botswana in 2015.
He recalled that God used the late cleric to give items to the country during COVID-19 pandemic, especially to the poor people.
The event also featured opera performances, songs ministrations, drama presentation, and cutting of birthday cake.
