ATCIS Congratulates Fasoranti At 98

…Greets Awujale At 90

The National President of the Association of Telephone, Cable TV And Internet Subscribers (ATCIS), Hon Sina Bilesanmi, has congratulated the leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Chief Reuben Fasoranti as he celebrated 98th birthday on Friday May 10, 2024.

Hon. Bilesanmi described the Afenifere leader as a living legend and a pride of the Yoruba race and telecoms subscribers.

The telecoms advocacy number one man made the congratulatory message available on Saturday May 11, 2024.

In the same vein, the group felicitated with the Awujale of Ijebuland, Ogun State, Oba Dr. Sikiru Kayode Adetona on his 90th birthday.

The group commended the monarch for his great investment in education and good governance, most especially his Post-Graduate School at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, which he said has been taken over by the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, Plateau State.

Oba Adetona was described as one of the longest reigning monarchs, not only in Nigeria, but in the world.

Prince Bilesanmi said that as far as anyone subscribes to telecoms, banks or TV, he is a bonafide member of the association.

 

Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has conferred Grand Commander of the Order of Niger (GCON) on Oba Dr S.K Adetona for meritorious service to humanity and Nigeria as a country.

ATCIS-Nigeria mission is to promote mutual co-existence, fair play, defend the rights of subscribers by endorsing and ensuring good products and network service delivery from service providers to their corporate and individual members, while providing a platform to advance the right of telephone, cable television and internet subscribers throughout Nigeria.

ATCIS’s influence and connection as a leading body in consumer advocacy has afforded our members employment opportunities at various firms across the country. With nine hundred and ninety (990) newspaper publications in local, international and online news media as of 11th May, 2024 and presence in twenty (20) National Television and Radio stations for an Interview Program on every Wednesday of the week tagged “Advocacy Know Your Rights As Telecoms Subscribers from Network Operators and service providers” the body is well poised to executive its core purpose of consumer protection with significant progress and various reforms with a credit of three hundred and forty (340) successful programs and achievements for the betterment of Telephone, Cable TV and Internet Subscribers across the Nigeria to her name.

ATCIS has spent 825 million naira plus till today 11th May 2024, basically on advocate for the right to people according to our financial report, through donation from members, loans and support
