The presidential candidate of Accord Party in the 2023 general elections and the keynote speaker at the 14th edition of Classic Africa Merit Award (CAMA), Professor Christopher Imumolen, has urged all the presidential candidates in the elections that brought in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to power, to join hands with the president to make Nigeria better.

Professor Imumolen stated this in Lagos on Sunday November 19, 2023, while entertaining questions from journalists at the awards event.

According to Imumolen, Tinubu needs not to be distracted any more since the Supreme Court has declared him winner of the election.

“If Nigeria fails, we have all failed, our businesses will fail, our education would fail, and there would be insecurity that would affect all of us. If any of us is still interested in becoming the president of the country, he or she should wait till 2027. Again, we must allow him to have full concentration now and let us prepare for 2027,” he stated.

The Accord Party presidential candidate further stressed that people like him would continue to have faith in Nigeria until the country becomes better.

“We have heard of a country that had been bankrupt, but immediately another government came in, everything became well. Let’s just believe that this government would keep their promises, let us allow them to be focused.

“The Supreme Court has affirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the last presidential election in the country. So, I feel other candidates should join hands with him to make the country better.

“It’s not about us, but about allowing Nigeria work. Nigerians should be the supreme winner at the end of the day,” he said.

The Founder of Unic Foundation then hailed the Nigerian media for being instrumental to the growth of democracy in the country.
