Easter: God Will Change The Minds of Perpetrators Of Abduction, Killings In Nigeria- Diocesan Bishop of Lagos, Okupevi

The Diocesan Bishop of Lagos, Church of Nigeria,The Rt. Rev’d Ifedola Senasu Gabriel Okupevi, has urged Nigerians to have faith in God, and prayed that God will touch the minds of those involved in killings, and abduction in the country.

Rt Dr Okupevi stated this during his message to Nigerians on Sunday to commemorate this year’s Easter celebration in Lagos.

Dr Ifedola Okupevi

“Christ has risen, we thank God that he has risen in our lives (Alleluyah’). We rejoice in our Lord because our land is still intact; there are no crisis and war. It’s true that we are experiencing abduction, and killings, but we give glory to God that it’s not more than these.

“But those that are doing these evil, may the Lord change their hearts. Our prayer is that peace would not elude Nigeria and whatever hardship we are currently facing, God would surely help us to solve them,” he said.

The man of God also seized the opportunity to greet President Bola Tinubu, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and all those at the helms of affairs in the country.

He prayed that God would grant them strength, and energy, while also praying that the Holy Spirit would lead them to do the right thing.

According to the clergy, “the sacrifice that we all have to make is to give praises unto the Almighty God. There is need for both the leaders and followers to make sacrifices to make this nation great and it would surely be great.

“The sacrifices we are giving now, even though it is by force, I pray that God would surely help us and it all shall be well with all of us.”
