Emeka Obasi Begins Journey Home …Faces of Dignitaries Present At The Service of Songs

The journey into eternal rest for Business Hallmark Publisher, Prince Emeka Obasi, who died on Tuesday March 15, 2022 after a brief illness, aged 58 has begun.

The journey began on Friday April 8 with service of songs at Trinity Church, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Prince Obasi was described as an accomplished man and lover of books, who read a lot.

Among those, who testified to his reading ability and goodness were Head, Corporate Comunication, Dangote Group, a former governorship candidate in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, Publisher of Ovation International Magazine, Chief Dele Momodu, Head, Corporate Communications, United Bank for Africa (UBA), Nasir Ramon and many others.

Dignitaries across financial institutions, and newspaper publishing honoured the man with their presence.

Among the notable dignitaries at the service of songs in honour of the departed soul were the Minister Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, MD of Zenith Bank, Ebenezer Onyeagwu, Prof. Anya O. Anya, delectable and woman of substance at First Bank, Folake Anni-Mumuney, Access and UBA Comunication Managers, Abdul Imoyo and Ramon Nasir, former, Corporate Communication Manager of UBA and later Fidelity Bank, Charles Aigbe and others.

The Transport Minister revealed that they thought they could do what they could to make Obasi stay alive but that all these were to no avail.

Amaechi however, said that the death of Obasi has taught him that life is transcient.

Prince Emeka Obasi was said to have done good till his death.

Even while on sick bed, he reportedly sent money to widows in the village, as revealed by one of his relatives identified as Okezie.

The remains of Prince Emeka Obasi would be committed to mother earth on Thursday April 14 in Abia State.
