Incumbent Hon. Kasunmu Secures 20 Out of 25 Delegates Votes To Win Ikeja Constituency 2 APC Ticket

It was a landslide victory on Friday May 27 for the member representing Ikeja Constiteuncy 2 in the Lagos House of Assembly, Hon. Adedemola Richard Kasunmu, during All Progressive Congress’s House of Assembly Primaries Election in Ikeja Constiteuncy 2, the incumbent out-score
his opponents.
Honourable Kasunmu secured 20 votes out of 25 delegates votes to clinched the ticket for his third term bid.
Hon. Kasunmu was announced winner by the returning officer, Mr. Ewuosho Oladunjoye of the primaries having polled 20 votes out of 25, Nationalmoment gathered, other opponents, Mrs Abimbola Oshikoya got two votes, Mr Boluwatife Kamarudeen scored one vote, one void while other Aspirants was nil.
With this result Hon. Kasunmu slogan for ARK Season 3 has commenced as he had defeated other aspirants namely, Mrs Abimbola Oshikoya, Mr Taiwo Oluwaseyi, Mrs Dolapo Oshoffa, Mr. Kamarudeen Boluwatife who participated in the primary election.
The election was described as peaceful, free and fair. The primary was conducted under the heavy presence of security personnel and watch of the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Speaking with journalists immediately after the victory, Kasunmu dedicated his victory to God and also thanked the delegates for their support and ensuring victory at the poll. βI thank all the party leaders, party faithful and the people of Ikeja Constituency 2 for standing by me. I promise not to let them down while they be expecting more dividends of democracy, quality representation and more service to the people.β
Kasunmu urged other aspirants: βIn APC, there is no winner or loser, we are all one.β
Other party leaders who witnessed the election includes, Hon. James Faleke, Baba Eto, Primate James Odunmbaku and other party faithfuls.
Hon. Kasunmu would slug it out with other party candidates come 2023 general elections.
