…Pastes Number Stickers In Gbagada

The Lagos Apex Lions Club District 404B2, led by the its President, Sakirat Modupe Salaudeen with the support of other members, took to the streets of Lagos, including the ever busy Gbagada Road on Thursday April 18, 2024 to perform one of the core activities of the Lions Club International, which is cleaning of the environment.

Speaking during the exercise, Lion Modupe Sakirat Salaudeen, stated that “environment is one of our core activities. So, today, we embarked on environment clean up in Gbagada area of Lagos.”

Salaudeen noted that the area is dirty, hence the need for them to embark on the clean up exercise.

The club also pasted stickers on houses in the area.

Speaking further on the activities, Lion Salaudeen acknowledged the difficulty many people encounter looking for house numbers.

“When you go to most streets, you will find it difficult to locate where you are going. With these numbers, it would really help people to locate where they are going.

“This is done to showcase our club. When many people see the stickers with our logo underneath, they would know that this is part of Lions Club’s project,” Mrs Salaudeen said.

She stated as a Lions Club, one of the things they love to do is to serve their communities with the 3 Ts (Time, Talent, Treasure).

“With these 3Ts, if you are a member, you would care so much about your community and because we have passion for the community, we also encourage other members to join us in the exercise.

2nd Vice President, Mrs Morenike Scale

“In some places, people reject stickers, but in our case, because they beautify their houses, they see it as benefit, therefore, they commended us,” she said.

Lions Modupe then enjoined the residents to keep their environment clean always.

She urged the management of the Lions Club to do the exercise regularly and enjoined the residents to keep their environment clean as cleanliness is second to holiness.
